Windows 7 licenses 3 for $150 is Back!

Microsoft announced Tuesday it was bringing back for limited time, one of the most popular Windows 7 deals to date: the Family Pack discount. The Offer starts Oct. 3, and gives consumers three upgrades from XP or Vista for $150. This year’s offer will likely be short-lived as was the last offering of its kind this past Oct 22, 2009, following the release of Microsoft’s’ Window 7. Microsoft spokesman Ashley Brown said it would run “while supplies last,” the same terminology the company used last year.

Sorting Data using the context menu

Organizing files becomes much simpler when you use the “Send To” command. You can save alot of time, compared to using “copy & paste”, when organizing multiple files and folders, but unless the “send to” menu contains your specific destinations it won’t do you any good at all.

To add your own destinations or shortcuts to the list of existing locations:

select Run from the Start menu using Windows XP, (type Run in the search box on Vista or Windows7, then enter)

and type ‘’shell:sendto’’ in the Run box with no spaces and without the quotation marks.

Create a shortcut of the folder or program you want to appear on the “send to” menu and move it into the “send to” folder you just opened.

Now right click on a file you want to move and you will see the shortcut you placed into the “send to” folder listed as an option.

Finding Hidden Files For Backup

Most applications save your work to a location somewhere within your “My Documents” folder. Most…. but not all. Some of the Data you might want to save during your regular backup is found in other locations. Some of these include your Outlook Express address book and emails, your favorites, and your Quickbook backups, to name a few. Here are a few of the more common data files not found in your “my documents” folder. If you know of some others let us know leave a comment.
